Where to write
abuse@mimmsy.com, read by Jacob Mimms, the operator. He is the named recipient for takedown notices, including copyright notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). A notice can be acted on when it gives the address of the widget or page, names the work it copies and where the original can be seen, states that you own the work or act for the owner, and gives a way to reach you.
The same address is for reports about a page rather than a widget, reports that need a file or a screenshot, questions about the terms or your data, and requests to look at a decision again.
What happens to a report
It enters the moderation queue, which only the operator sees, beside the drafts the site has held back on its own. The operator looks at the widget and either hides it or keeps it. A hidden widget leaves search, listings and chat at once. A widget already in the library is a file in a public repository, so removing it is a change there, made from the same queue. A kept widget’s report is closed with a note saying why.
A report from the form carries your account id if you are signed in, otherwise a hashed network address; neither reaches you, so you are not told the outcome unless you leave an email address in the reason or write by email. The author of a hidden widget is not told either, and can write to the address above to ask for the decision to be looked at again.
Report a widget
Give the widget’s name, the last part of its address (/w/coin-entropy/ is coin-entropy), and say what is wrong in up to a thousand characters; quoting the part that is a problem helps. One open report per widget per reporter is kept. Signed out, Cloudflare’s bot check, Turnstile, runs beside the button.
